Abstract: |
The recovery of human remains during excavation for a new domestic drain connection necessitated archaeological monitoring. The work took place in July 2009 and was monitored by Peter Rowe. The human remains were charnel recovered from a re-deposited fill connected to the construction of the house circa 1833. The remains are likey to form part of the Cross Close Anglo-Saxon Cemetery established in the mid 7th century AD. |
