The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Evaluation trenching identified significant archaeological activity. The earliest features consisted of elements of a Middle Bronze Age settlement in Trenches 2 and 3. Roman features, dating to the 2nd century AD were present in Trenches 4 and 5. Undated and post-medieval/modern features were also present in trenches 1, 6 and 7. The possible presence of a domestic settlement of MBA date has considerable local and regional importance as such sites are rare in this area.
