Abstract: |
A geomagnetic survey was conducted on former parkland associated with Brayton Hall, a post-medieval house that was destroyed by fire and demolished in 1940. Numerous anomalies were detected which were interpreted as the remains of medieval ridge and furrow, the boundary of a post-medieval bowling green, and a former area of woodland. Possible structural remains and ditches of unknown date were also found and further work was recommended. |
