Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on land at Bushel Barn, Paltry farm, Great Barton, Suffolk in advance of construction of a new driveway. Trial trenching, together with a topsoil metal-detecting survey of the development footprint, did not identify any archaeological features or deposits relating to the known area of Roman occupation which lies c.200m to the north. A single silver coin, possibly medieval in origin, which had been reused as a post-medieval love token was recovered from the topsoil. |
