Abstract:		 NAU Archaeology was commissioned to undertake a watching brief concerning the excavation of a soakaway pit to the rear of 27 The Close, Norwich. A sequence of make-up deposits was identified, characterised and recorded, and pottery was recovered to assist in dating the deposits. No archaeological features were observed.
