Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising of geophysical survey and trial trenching by Birmingham Archaeology in 2006 to the northwest of Rugeley in Staffordshire. The work was undertaken on behalf of Staffordshire County Council in advance of construction of a flood compensation area associated with the Rugeley Eastern Bypass. The geophysical survey identified several pit like anomalies, which are thought to be geophysical in origin and the trial trenching revealed a ditch feature thought to be part of an enclosure thoug no other associated features were found. |
