Abstract: |
Structural remains sealed by 17th to18th-century make-up/levelling deposits were recorded suggesting a building was demolished during the documented landscaping of the abbey grounds in the earlier post-medieval period and/or during construction of Hailes House itself. A broadly contemporary stone-lined culvert was identified within the adjacent trench. |
