Abstract: |
In November 2002, Network Archaeology Ltd carried out a watching brief on soil test pits at 81-83 High Street, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, in advance of demolition and refurbishment works. Investigations indicated a mid to late nineteenth century date for the upstanding walls, identified site levelling deposits from the same period, and revealed the remains of a late eighteenth or early nineteenth century wall footing below the present south wall. |
