Abstract:		 In order to determine the archaeological risk posed by a proposal to construct 12 new dwellings on land situated at 22-26 Osborne Road, the Heritage Network was commissioned by the developer to undertake a programme of archaeological evaluation in advance of development. A number of linear features were recorded in Trench 3 and a small post-hole in Trench 4. Several sherds of pottery with a date range from Late Iron Age to the early Romano-British period were also recovered from these trenches. There is considered to be a high risk that further archaeological remains of similar date would be disturbed in the course of the redevelopment of the site.
