Abstract: |
An excavation on this site was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services from 20th - 21st September 2005. Three trenches, totalling 17.75 metres in length, were excavated to reveal the underlying Oxford Clay geology at a maximum height of 74.26 m OD on the sloping ground. Archaeological deposits were limited. The only feature located was the 16th century surface of the farmyard, this was uncovered in Trench 2. There was also some limited evidence for pottery production in the area. |
