Abstract:		 The Evaluation was carried out at the Bully Point Wetlands area, in the south-western part of PDZ6. The original method statement specified that 3 trenches were to be excavated (PDZ 6.48, 49 and 50) . Due to site constraints, it was proposed to excavate a single trench measuring 30m x 8m at base (PDZ6.48) within the area originally proposed for excavation and three north-south oriented trenches measuring approximately 30m x 4m at base (PDZ6.7, PDZ6.8 and PDZ.9), extending northwards from it adjacent to the River Lea. Due to the volume of water entering Trench 48 and the probable collapse of sections the excavated area was reduced to 20.00 x 10.00m at base.The field team for the evaluation trenching included a geoarchaeologist who was available for the duration of the project to assess the potential of the natural deposits for reconstructing the past environment, which was of relevance to understanding the context of any archaeological levels (or the lack of them). The geoarchaeologist conformed to the methodology set out in the original method statement .
