Abstract:
A preliminary programme of non-intrusive archaeological investigation of the route of the proposed National Grid (NG) Kings Lynn to Wisbech Gas Pipeline route. The investigation comprised a desk-based assessment, a supplemental desk-based assessment of a re-route and a combined programme of field surveys - field reconnaissance, fieldwalking, metal-detecting and geophysical survey. PIpeline construction was shelved following the field surveys and no intrusive evaluation took place.
