Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken at the site of the recently demolished Barley House, Barley Close, Crawley. Four trenches were mechanically excavated at the site, which was found to have been heavily truncated during the construction, use and demolition of numerous buildings at the site. Evidence of post-medieval brick-built buildings was uncovered, and a small assemblage of medieval and post-medieval pottery and other arefacts was recovered from the overburden. |
