Abstract: |
Assessment of the surviving industrial archaeology at the John Knowles and Co. Mount Pleasant Works in Woodville. Results interpreted in conjunction with the company archive to produce a history of the works. Building recording also carried out at the nearby Albion Works. Both plants produced clay water pipes during the second half of the 19th century and into the 20th century. Mount Pleasant was also a major producer of refractories. |
