Abstract:		 A watching brief was maintained during the machine-excavation of a trench for a new pole at NS 0064 8215, on the Striven to Otter Ferry 33kv overhead power line at Auchnagarran, Glendaruel, Argyll. The pole was located in a pasture field, approximately 10m S of a standing stone (NS08SW 8). The trench cut through 0.25m of topsoil which lay directly on fluvio-glacial materials, nothing of archaeological significance being uncovered.
