Abstract: |
A small-scale archaeological excavation was undertaken at the site in early 2010 following an evaluation of the site by trial trenching in 2009. A small group of features ranging in date from medieval to post-medieval were uncovered and recorded, including the remains of an ironworking kiln of late medieval/early post-medieval date. Other features included medieval and late medieval/early post-medieval pits, and the remains of late post-medieval buildings. |
