Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of planning approval for a development comprising 14 dwellings. The site is located in an area of archaeological potential within the north-eastern part of March, on the end of the former fen `island'. Prehistoric and Roman remains are known from this part of the March `island'. Two parallel undated ditches and a possible post medieval ditch were recorded in trenches on the western side of the site. The ditches were all broadly aligned east/ west and the undated ditches were parallel. They likely represent drainage ditches.
