Abstract: |
A partnership between Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Historic Environment, Cornwall Council, resulted in a range of management and interpretative works being carried out in 2009-10 in Kennall Vale: a nature reserve based around the remains of a 19th century gunpowder works and run by Cornwall Wildlife Trust. The work was funded through Conserving Cornwall's Past: a project supported principally by the Heritage Lottery Fund, English Heritage, and Cornwall Heritage Trust. The work included small-scale consolidation work to three structures: a cask house, a bridge and some steps. Four dangerous trees were felled. A new interpretation board and leaflet were produced for the site and volunteers helped with a photographic survey of the seventy or so structures extant on the site. |
