Abstract:		 A watching brief was conducted by John Moore Heritage Services during the laying of a new high-pressure water pipeline at Town Moor, Maidenhead, Berkshire. There is evidence for land management of the area with the clearing out of ponds. Later there is an attempt to drain the area with ditches being excavated. This would appear to have some limited success, but later rubble is dumped in order to firm up the ground.
