Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken by South West Archaeology Ltd. prior to the construction of an extension to a bungalow and related access and services. The site lies within a walled garden, formerly attached to the Clinton Arms public house. Two pits were dug on the western edge of the site. No features were observed cutting the subsoil in either but stripping the rest of the site exposed a number of archaeological features including a linear dug to carry a stone-built culvert, and a large tank or pond. Relatively few finds were discovered. |
