Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Terrain Archaeology in April and May 2007 during the groundworks associated with the erection of new close care dwellings at Pondsmead Nursing Home, Oakhill, Ashwick, Mendip, Somerset. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed. Much of the site had been previously disturbed by the erection of greenhouses and outbuildings associated with and probably built at the same time as Pondsmead House.
