Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during groundwork relating to the construction of new siding and the realignment of track at the Ferry Meadows Country Park railway in Peterborough. The site lies in an area of known archaeological significance, within the boundaries of Scheduled Monument No. 182. The excavations were generally shallow, revealing no evidence of significant remains. The recorded deposits were consistent with the known history of mineral extraction in the immediate area. |
