Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological Strip, Plan and Sample Excavation was carried out by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services, (ULAS), at Marriott Farm, Cotes de Val, Gilmorton, Leicestershire. (SP 554 885; PA 2008/00738/3), for LCC Property Services. The proposed development area had been identified as being of possible archaeological significance. Archaeological work on the site was undertaken on the 24th of February 2009 to supervise and observe topsoil stripping and excavation of foundation trenches. The archive for the archaeological work will be held by Leicestershire County Council, under the accession number XA88 2009.
