Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on 9-10th August 2009 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on behalf of Wells McFarlane before submission of a planning application for the construction of housing at Church Lane, Cadeby, Leicestershire. Archaeological features encountered consisted of a potentially medieval possible quarry feature and ditch or gully in Trench 3. In Trench 1, a further linear feature located at the foot of a seemingly natural slope may represent a post-medieval or modern drainage ditch or gully for water run-off. The site archive will be deposited with Leicestershire County Council under the accession number X.A157.2009.
