The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during January 2007 by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) as required by Charnwood Borough Council as part of the planning application (ref 03/1758/2). The application lies within the historic core of the village, close to the medieval church. During the watching brief of the development area access road no archaeological features were uncovered. The impact on the ground was minimal with topsoil only being removed. A very small number of modern pottery fragments were observed in the topsoil make-up. The site archive will be deposited with the Leicestershire County Council, Heritage Services under the Accession Number X.A9.2007.
