Abstract:		 An archaeological field evaluation was undertaken on land adjacent to Old Barn Farm, Welford Road, Husbands Bosworth, Leicestershire by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) on the 3rd of March 2010. A proposal to build a single barn has been submitted by the client and, due to the location within and area of archaeological interest, the Planning Authority have requested that a programme of trial trenching take place to identify and locate any archaeological remains that may be affected by the development. A single 20m long by 1.6m wide trench was excavated within the footprint of the proposed new barn. No archaeological features or deposits were observed within the trench.
