Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out at 116 High Street, Barwell, Leicestershire, on the 9th September 2008. This work was carried out on behalf of J. Singh by University of Leicester Archaeological Services. The work involved the controlled supervision of excavation of three preparatory trenches in advance of housing development. The watching brief uncovered modern backfill and one shallow ditch of unknown date. The site archive will be held with Leicestershire County Council Museums Section under accession number: X.A124.2008.
