Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during June 2003 by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) as required by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council as part of the planning conditions (ref 02/1344/4). The site lies close to the medieval core of Burbage and a number of entries from the Leicestershire Sites and Monuments Record (SMR) are recorded in the vicinity. No archaeological features were uncovered during the watching brief of the development. The site archive will be deposited with the Leicestershire County Council, Heritage Services under the Accession Number X.A.113 2003.
