Abstract: |
A Level 3 historic building survey and an archaeological watching brief was undertaken on the site of former agricultural buiolings at 73 Drum Street prior to and during the part-demolition and the development of the site. There were six buildings on the site, all of which probably date from the mid-19th century. Of the two original buildings which formed part of the original planning application, the southernmost consisted of a ground floor stable block and a hay loft above. The northernmost building was heightened at a later date to accommodate more space to its ground floor. The remains of the demolished building was originally a barn and appeared to be of one phase of build. |
