Abstract: |
Planning consent has been sought for the construction of new student residential accommodation including associated car parking, ancillary works and landscaping at Heriot Watt University's Riccarton Campus, Edinburgh. The site lies within the south-western corner of the historic grounds for the former late medieval Riccarton House which stood at the centre of the current Heriot Watt University Riccarton Campus. In addition, earlier prehistoric occupation remains have been recorded around Gowanhill to the west. The evaluation recorded only the truncated remains of rig and furrow cultivation and a variety of field drains. |
