Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was carried out by CFA Archaeology Ltd at three locations along the proposed route of the Maybole to Girvan Natural Gas Pipeline. Seven trenches were excavated, amounting to 280m² in total. The trenches were placed to examine anomalies identified during a geophysical survey by Network Archaeology Ltd. No significant archaeological features were identified during the evaluation, and the anomalies identified during the geophysical survey appear to be either natural/geological features or modern field drains. |
