Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring of water mains replacement works in the Newington, Kennington and Camberwell areas of Lambeth and Southwark. Some 1300m of trenching was observed between October 2008 and December 2009. Two areas of archaeological remains were noted - unidentified wood in section and buried soil horizons both dating to the 19th century. Elsewhere, trenching exposed modern road layers and service related deposits. |
