Abstract:		 Historic Environment Projects was commissioned by Mr Bob Murray on behalf of Mr and Mrs Harris to undertake an archaeological watching brief during the construction of two new student housing blocks in the former garden of Bennett's Cottages within the commercial and historic centre of Penryn, centred at SW 78415 34511. The development falls within land classified as Urban Development, close to the junction between older (pre 1907) settlement and 20th century development. The site lies within the designated Conservation Area and Historic Settlement of medieval Penryn, and is located within part of a former medieval burgage plot.
