Abstract:		 In May 2010 a watching brief was undertaken on groundworks for a detached garage at the Old School, Potsgrove, Bedfordshire. The site lies at the north east corner of the remains of a maoted site and opposite St Mary's church. Only a limited area of the subsoil was exposed within the footprint of the new building. There was some building debris just below the ground surface on the site for a hardstanding on the western side of the new building, which may have belonged to an old barn. The only material found within the footprint of the new building belonged to the late 19th century. No pre-modern features or artefacts were noted.
