Abstract: |
Re-pointed of Towan holy well by a small team of volunteers from Pentewan Old Cornwall Society in 2004 was preceded by clearance of scrub from the surroundings and full recording of the well-house (including photographs, elevation drawings, a plan and historic building analysis) by the Historic Environment Service, Cornwall County Council. Recording showed Towan Well to be an early 16th century building, restored in the 18th and early 20th centuries. |
