Abstract:		 An archaeological field evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken on land adjacent to 74 Almeys Lane, Earl Shilton, Leicestershire by University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in advance of proposed new dwellings. Three trenches were excavated in an area defined as having archaeological potential. However the trial trenching revealed no archaeological finds, features or deposits. The site archive will be held with the Archaeology, Environment and Heritage Services (Leicestershire County Council) under accession number X.A176.2009
