Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was undertaken the former Borax Works, Norman Road, Belvedere in advance of proposed redevelopment. The evaluation comprised the excavation of nine trenches and assessment of the subsequent environmental samples and a desk-based assessment of borehole data. The general sequence on the site comprised London Clay, Shepperton Sand and Gravel and alluvial deposits including a peat formation likely to be of early-Neolithic to Iron Age date.
