Abstract: |
HE Projects were commissioned by Alf Trewin on behalf of the Werrington Estate to carry out an historic building record of the outbuildings at Park Hill House, St Stephens, located at NGR SX 3237 8580 (Fig 1). The record was carried out as one of the conditions for planning consent in advance of the conversion and partial demolition of the buildings to become a dwelling. There are four outbuildings at Park Hill house all of which were constructed during the mid to late 19th century. They include Building 1 (a two-storey stable and cart house with hay loft) constructed between c1840 and c1880, Building 2 (a stable range), Building 3 (a cart house and stable extension to Building 2) and Building 4 (pigsties). Buildings 2, 3 and 4 were all constructed between c1880 and c1907. |
