The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An Archaeological watching brief ( two linear trenches) in advance of the redevelopment of the site. These trenches revealed a general sequence of natural geological drift deposits overlain by subsoil and a buried topsoil of post-medieval date. Other evidence of later post-medieval activity was seen in the form of levelling deposits and cut features associated with the newly demolished buildings of later 19th century date. No archaeological features or finds pre-dating the 19th century were identified during the watching brief.
