Abstract: |
An evaluation carried out on land at Stoke Quay (7-11 Great Whip Street), Ipswich in July 2011 encountered finds and features of Anglo-Saxon date and medieval date. It also recorded an area of apparent inhumations potentially coinciding with the lost medieval church of St Austins Church. A single inhumatino was discovered near the southern boundary of the site, orientated north-south, but no dating evidence was recovered at thsi stage. |
