Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological watching brief was carried out on part of a residential development within a former nursery. No in situ archaeological features or deposits were uncovered and there was a large amount of ground disturbance due to the services associated with the former nursery. Thick deposits of post-medieval colluvium were present across the site overlying natural subsoil. The lowest layer of colluvium contained a small assemblage of residual medieval pottery which, along with further unstratified sherds, may have derived from earlier agricultural activity.
