The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological observations and records were made during the mechanical removal of topsoil and the demolition of a twentieth-century house during ground-works at Copley Gardens, Sprotbrough. A crude modern road and yard surface were identified and associated with the house, and the underlying soil was thought constitute modern ground-raising. The remains of an eighteenth century ice-house known to survive beneath the building were monitored during demolition.
