Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological observation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with construction of a New Hospital Plaza, Queen Elizabeth Medical Complex, Metchley Lane, Edgbaston, Birmingham. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed during groundworks, and no artefactual material pre-dating the modern period was recovered. The maximum formation depth of the groundworks was designed to be above the level of the archaeological deposits associated with Metchley Roman Fort and this was successfully achieved |
