Abstract: |
Two areas of geomagnetic survey were undertaken over an area of approximately 4ha. The survey was carried out using Bartington Grad601-2 dual fluxgate gradiometers. A sig-zag traverse scheme was employed. The sample interval was 0.25m and the traverse interval was 1m. Areas 1 and 2 produced anomalies consistent with buried ditches and ring gullies. These were interpreted as a Prehistoric or Romano-British settlement. Ridge and furrow ploughing trends were noted across the area. |
