Abstract: |
This 2.25ha geomagnetic survey took place on the playing field to the rear of Red House School. The survey was conducted using Bartington Grad601-2 dual fluxgate gradiometers using a zig-zag traverse scheme. The sample interval was 0.25m and the traverse interval was 1m. The survey demonstrated that the majority of the site was made ground/backfill. Subsequent research identified that an un-mapped late 19th/early 20th century sand and gravel quarry (HER 8043) was responsible. |
