Abstract:		 In January 2009 a watching brief was carried out during the ground works for the construction of a new garage at Elm Cottage, St Albans Road, Redbourn, Hertfordshire. No deposits or finds of archaeological significance were revealed. However, as the ground works were limited in scope this does not preclude the presence of archaeological remains elsewhere on the site.
