Abstract:		 A desk-based assessment was carried out to determine the history and development of the walled kitchen garden at Rockingham Castle. A building assessment recorded the remains of the southern enclosure of the garden and dated the structure to the second half of the nineteenth-century. The trial excavation revealed evidence of planting trenches and garden paths dating to the nineteenth-century, but no earlier activity.
