Abstract: |
Two test pits were excavated within the garden of this residential property, prior to its demolition and rebuilding. The site is located to the southeast of the Roman walled town and on the southern edge of the medieval village of Great Chesterford. One test-pit contained a late medieval pit, the other a buried soil of similar date below later landscaping deposits. |
