Abstract:
An archaeological Watching Brief was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Ltd. during the emergency stabilisation works on the bank of the River Tweed at Lennel Old Parish Churchyard. The work was undertaken in two phases between 4th March and 5th April 2011 and revealed five articulated skeletons, numerous disarticulated bones and associated grave furniture including a late 15th century Scottish copper Farthing.
