Abstract: |
NN 5354 1924 to NN 5290 1750 A walk-over survey was undertaken on 4 April 2012 along the proposed route of a new underground power line to connect with the Ballimore Hydro scheme. As well as remnants of the former settlements of Bailemeanoch (NN51NW 11) and Clachglas (NN51NW 9), the survey identified the scant remains of three hitherto unrecorded buildings towards the N end of the survey area. Each survives as little more than one course of rubble walls covered with vegetation. At NN 53463 19103 is a structure measuring approximately 8m by 4m At NN 53434 19213 is a structure measuring approximately 17m by 6m At NN 53454 19252 is a structure measuring approximately 14m by 5m. |
